I’ve always dreamed of visiting a Rolife store and bringing home with me a piece of memory to cherish. But I got impatient waiting for that day to come, so I decided to create my own little Rolife store instead.
So would you like to come on a little tour with me? ![]()
Come and find your perfect DIY kit! There are plenty to choose from ROWOOD, Rolife and ROKR! Did you spot Teddy’s guest appearance? ![]()
Step into the hallway and enter Nanci’s world! Or maybe turn the corner and see what’s on sale. ![]()
You continue your journey and surely you can’t ignore the bestsellers peeking at you through the display window. Hmm, one, two or perhaps all of these kits are calling your name. Can you really walk past and ignore them? ![]()
I see you’re going to need a hand. How about a Rolife shopping bag to store your precious finds? Because you’re about to make your way into the store, where even more magic awaits. ![]()
Nanci’s says we’re definitely open so come on in! But please don’t steal her bubble!
Oh and don’t forget to check out the posters on the textured brick wall! ![]()
You look up and see Nanci sitting on the ledge, waving at you. Now, how did that Rolife shopping bag get up there?
Happy 7th birthday Nanci! Starting to think she needs a few more posters up there!
The new arrivals definitely had your full attention.
You stood there in awe, watching the little tram from the Sakura Dreamy Tour run along its tracks.
You couldn’t help yourself from trying out the typewriter and then you spotted that they have a magic version too! ![]()
And here, we’ve come to the end of our little tour of the Rolife miniature store! I can’t help but wish I could shrink myself down and actually visit. There are so many tiny details and cuteness that my camera just couldn’t quite capture. ![]()
Now for a fun question: How many different Robotime kits did you spot?

Hi everyone, I think it’s been a while since I posted one of my personal projects.
This idea first started taking root in my head when I bought the Corner Bookstore last year. I hated the hideous orange that came with it, yet somehow, part of me was lovingly drawn to it. Then I realised it was because it was so similar to Rolife’s colour. Sorry @Robotime ! ![]()
It was at that point that I knew I wanted to turn it into something that was related to Rolife, but I just couldn’t quite get it right.
I had been experiencing a creative block for various reasons, but I never stopped coming up with ideas over the past few months. The opening of the Rolife Newbury Street store was the final inspiration I needed for this project. I was madly in love with those brick walls. ![]()
Over the last few months, I think I’ve lost count of how many hours I’ve poured into this project. I spent a lot of time editing my printouts and sketching out rough designs. It was pretty tedious having to use old-school methods but it was a challenge I gave myself. No AI was used in the process.
Every corner of this Rolife store was meticulously planned and I added so many little details everywhere, down to all four sides of the packaging for each kit. Even if they would never be seen once assembled, I knew they were there.

I think my rambling is getting a little too long, so I’ll stop here. I might make separate posts detailing my build process.
I started this project as a way to challenge myself and hopefully find my spark again. I really wanted to enjoy this hobby and the community again. I’ve been going through a lot since the start of the year and my dear family member is still very unwell.
There are days when I just want to give myself a big hug and say “You’re going to be okay.” ![]()

It’s really a small but wonderful coincidence that I managed to finish this just in time for the upcoming 9th anniversary. I know it’s far from perfect, but I’ve learnt a lot from it. It was also something that helped keep me grounded when I was feeling stressed. ![]()
I would like to wish Rolife a very happy 9th anniversary! Thank you for bringing me so many therapeutic moments and wonderful memories over the last 7-8 years. ![]()
@Robotime Can you guys please turn this into an actual kit and send it to me?
And can I shamelessly request a VIP fan pass too? ![]()

And if you’ve read everything and made it to the end, thank you! ![]()
