I’m finishing my clock and as I was putting the roof on, I notice the bird isn’t coming all the way out or flapping. When I don’t have it in the roof, it will come out all the way, but doesnt flap. Any ideas?
Welcome to the community, @Mysteryhat. I hope that @CustomerService can help you!
Hi @Mysteryhat welcome! What I remember is on page 3 ( I think that is where you assemble cuckoo) you have to make sure every thing is correct and snapped down well and test. I am unsure if that will help but it is worth looking at while you can access.
I looked at some previous requests and I think I have the piece assembled correctly. Heres a video of the inside of the bird housing.
Thanks for the warm welcome! I’m losing my mind not being able to finish my clock! Its been so much fun!
Mine definitely lifts up when he cuckoos. I cant get inside without taking mine apart. on page 4 it says to check that part L8 and lift up to see if wings move. Does yours do that?
I am copying Robotime and customer service to see if they can help also.
@Robotime @CustomerService
The wings do move if I push the bar down. Thanks for your help!
Hi there, welcome! I see you said the Wings do move up and down when you push the back bar, Do the Wings go fully up and down? Sometimes I think the Wings might be a bit fiddly and not get clicked in quite correctly.
I would then make sure there was nothing catching on the outer housing but other than that, without having this issue myself, I’m not really sure what it could be.
Hopefully Robotime customer service or someone else here can be more helpful!
along with that wings should move when you push that bar up, not down. Hoping we can help you! I know it can be frustrating. I just reset mine because the cuckoo timing was off when I got it together.
Mine has actually stopped cuckooing already but I didn’t have time to look at it over the weekend. Going to look at it today.
The wings do go fully up and down when I push down on the brown bar. Thanks for the welcome!
I only built this last week, my cuckoo was working perfectly but it has since stopped completely. I think it might be the batteries I’m going to check today. When I do, if I can get mine to work I will be a closer look and see what I think for you.
Here is the cuckoo plugged in and running with the top not on. The wings do flap if I press them.
This video will be really helpful to try and work out what’s happening. For some reason the bird doesn’t look like it’s being lifted at the back to cause the wings to lift
Update! I was able to sand two spots where the bird was getting stuck because of the bottom screw and now its going in and out perfect. The bird still isn’t flapping though.
ok but this is good! Getting closer!!
Did you made sure the spring is fully pressed down? Because that’s what happen to me.
welcome to the community @Mysteryhat
Unfortunately, I can’t help you since I haven’t made the clock yet. Hopefully, you’ll get an answer soon.
Welcome to the community. I am about to build this model, I am also a bit worried when people have difficulty with them. I hope that @CustomerService
There is a magnet at this position that should be attracted by the copper coil part underneath. In your video, it was not attracted at any point during the operation, so please check whether the magnet is missing.
Out of curiosity, I have a magnet I found but did not know what it is for. Can you detail a bit more for thise of us that built the cuckoo clock already?
