[Beginner Tips] Treasure Box - Day 1

So I have started building my Treasure Box. It is a nice one and although there are not too many steps, there are some points of attention.

The best tips I can give at the moment:

  1. Again the sanding paper and wax will become your best friends. There are so many gears and of course you would want them to run smoothly (or as smooth as possible )
  2. READ the instructions very carefully. Maybe it is because English is not my mother tongue although I think I’m quite decent at speaking and reading. I read almost 3/4 of my books in English.
For decoding and testing if your chosen code works, you need to turn clockwise and counterclockwise. It is all described perfectly, but I had to do the steps multiple times to get it right because I just did not read the words correctly . I even removed some pieces, thinking I made an error while building, but all was fine .

I’m content with the choice of color I made and I think it is good that I kept it simple.

I will stop for today, the last steps will be for tomorrow.

It is a kit you can finish in a day if you have multiple hours to build, but I have a crochet project I want to start as well, so that is what I’m going to do now.

Yes, that’s right. Don’t need colors for it. It looks nice

Haha you may fit 1 in, and hoping that you don’t forget your code and that it works. Or you would even be hiding it for yourself :rofl:

Even though it’s not yet finished, I already saw that it is beautiful.

Thank you, I could build further and still finish it today. But since tomorrow is still a day off of work, I will finish it then and do something else now

I think I will finish this one tomorrow. There aren’t many steps left.

Those spares can be a lifesaver. I look forward to seeing your blue version come to life.

Wow, it looks complex! I love the touch of blue.

It already looks great! The dark blue edge with the lighter blue button looks nice. This build has a lot of gears. I also found setting up the code complicated.
