My newest ROKR kit has officially arrived… the Gravity Swing Ocean Fisher!
First of all, a huge thank you to @Robotime for this amazing prize! I still can’t believe I won it, and I’m so excited to finally have it in my hands.
This is actually going to be my very first ROKR build, and I have to admit… I’m a little nervous! I’ve always admired the moving mechanical models, but I’ve never built one myself. It definitely feels like stepping outside my comfort zone, but I’m excited to give it a try.
What makes this build even more special is that I’ll be building it together with my children. We love spending time building miniatures as a family, so I’m looking forward to sharing this new adventure with them and figuring out all the moving parts together.
There’s just something so charming about the little fisherman relaxing in his boat while it gently swings back and forth. I can’t wait to see it come to life once it’s finished!
I’m hoping this will be a fun change of pace from all the miniature houses and book nooks I’ve been building lately.
For those of you who have built ROKR kits before, I’d love to hear your advice!
Do you have any tips for a first timer? Anything I should watch out for? Any tricks that made your build easier?

We haven’t started it yet. We still have the Pompompurin pending because of school and might continue on that this weekend. For the customization, I will ask my kids if they want to repaint them. My girl favorite color is blue and my son likes red, so we’ll see.
