Hi everyone! Has anyone ever used a light box to take pictures of your work? My stepdaughter has one that she said I could use and just wonder if it makes that big of a difference? I kind of want to start doing this with my builds.
I havent used a lightbox, i usually use my Ringlight lol
I’ve seen some pictures of builds in a light box and gotta say they look impressive
I bought a cheap one off Temu that is collapsible (perfect for me). I have used it several times to take photos of my builds. I like that it removes backgrounds and focuses solely on the build.
My latest build (sharing soon), I couldn’t be bothered setting up the light box ha ha
I have. I also got a relatively inexpensive one on Allen express and I’ve been very happy with it. I have it sitting on a TV tray but if I want to it’s totally collapsible and I can put it away. I don’t always use it sometimes I just take pictures at my desk.
Here is a recent one I took inside of it.
Might be the same one I’m thinking of getting!!!
Yup it’s stunning!! Fine …illl just buy one lol

Check out the sizing. The one I bought will be great for many of my builds but won’t be big enough for some of my others.
The light box definitely helps take better pictures of your builds @Grey74 I don’t have one, but I am considering it.
Good to hear !! I’ll do it
That one is different to mine. I think that one should work. Pretty sure that mine is a lot smaller.
@Tkaplan has one, I believe.
I tried it, and it’s pretty good; the light is more focused.
Grey74, a light box can make a big difference, especially for showing small details and keeping shadows softer. It is a great idea to try your stepdaughter’s setup and see how your builds look with cleaner lighting!
There’s a big difference, really. Specially for me that has a messy work station. Lol
@Anje_Leonoza_Mira I won’t lie but that is the main reason I wanna get one lol
I haven’t bought one yet. And just make do with the light in my house or from the outside for now. But I can imagine it makes a difference when you want to highlight some details.
Yes, if you use smaller things or edit the edges, with the lighting and the softness, they look very good.
I will maybe bought one too. Soon. Haha
