Just select “Unlisted” under Visibility when you upload it. It won’t appear publicly or in search, but you’ll get a link you can copy and share wherever you choose. You can always change it to Public later if you want!

I’d go with Unlisted. Upload the video, choose Unlisted under Visibility, then copy the YouTube link to share wherever you want. Just keep the original video file saved too, so you always have a copy.

Thank you for that information. I think the reason it wouldn’t share the link before was because of the YouTube rule (over 60 seconds) @Gidge

I have made some public and made some unlisted. Unlisted means it can only be seen by sharing the link by you. I have not heard of others not being able to see mine. I think my harp was unlisted. But maybe others did not really watch the video? idk
These are the ones unlisted and it looks like some people have watched.
Hmmm…I wonder if that is the number of people who watched when you shared the link via a message.
