Hey everybody! I am going to try to upload a video to YouTube of my Prince diorama. I was wondering if (just by uploading/ creating it), does it automatically appear to YouTube with me actually sharing it? In other words, I don’t want the whole world to see it. I only want to be able to download and share it where and when I choose to do so. Does somebody have an answer for me? Also, after I load my video…is it best to copy the link, do I make a file or what? I have never done this before, so please when offering instructions, be specific. Pretend that this is an episode of YouTube for dummies.

Its best to copy the link. And the video has to be public
In order to share it here or somewhere it has to be made public. It’s part of the options on the screen when you upload the video. Otherwise you can make it private until you want to share it and can only be viewed by you. Idk if that helps…

You can upload it as UNLISTED. This is probably the option you’re looking for! Your video won’t show up in YouTube searches or on your public channel, but you can copy the video’s link and send it to whoever you want. Anyone who has that link can watch it, so just keep in mind that they could potentially share the link with someone else.

Thanks so much for your detailed explanation on that part. I may decide to make it “listed” instead of UNlisted at a later date. Do you know if that is an option as well. I appreciate your advice. @Anje_Leonoza_Mira

Ok…I cannot change the unlisted setting…I sent the link to a friend and they could not see it. When I just clicked on share (straight to a friend’s FB messenger, they could see it. UGH!
