Becka's Baking House Update #3

I spoke too soon.

Here I was, sitting in my chair after work thinking I would be able to finish the bakery in an hour. Then came the chore of wrapping the little goods in plastic. I have absolutely no idea how they managed to make it work in the instruction manual, but I struggled.

It was hectic. Once wrapped around the pastries, the plastic sheets were too bulky so I had to experiment with different sizes to find the best workaround. The wire that came with the kit was so thin and weak that I snapped it while trying to tighten it around the plastic.

I know Atropex recommended a sandwich bag but I didn’t have any at home and it was after work so I didn’t want to go back out. I should’ve just waited till tomorrow and listened to you lol. Mad regretssss.

I ended up going through my leftovers and found some thicker wires to work with. I’m glad it ended up okay as I just couldn’t stand leaving it loosely packed. It won’t feel right to me.

Extra close up of the cutest little book! I am so happy with the details as each page even has actual content printed on it.

I’m gonna have to stop building for now as I have to get up super early for work tomorrow. :front_facing_baby_chick:

Definitely let her handle the gift wrapping or I’ll foresee some rage quitting to take a break happening.

Sounds like quite the adventure! I’m glad you managed to make it work in the end, it looks great, even if it took a bit of extra experimenting! Rest up and can’t wait to see the final result!

I am thinking even plastic wrap like saran? I know for my Sweets shop, I gave up with the thick and went and cut up sandwich bags. So much easier!

Thank you! It definitely threw me off I wasn’t expecting a challenge with this. can’t wait to get off work and finish this!

I had to google what that was hahaha but yes I agree next time I’ll try that. I think cling wrap will work beautifully and still look realistic. Anything but that thick plastic.
