Today I am fighting a severe allergy problem and so I have not got a whole lot done. I wasn’t happy with how the foil shined through on the little red cabinet so I decided to make actual handles out of toothpicks and painted them silver. I decided to add those same handles onto my black cabinet. I stained and the built the wooden shelf in the rear with all of the drawers without issues and then I realized my drawers were upside down.
While disassembling, and putting them back together, I did break one tiny piece. That was a real bummer.
I decided to borrow my tool case and roadside Jack from my dream Cabriolet because it is only being stored in the trunk of that car anyways. It will fit perfectly here. I have aged the little handheld tool holder by sanding off some of the green and I think I’m going to keep it that way. I am switching the other green cabinet to Black. I can’t wait to hang these two signs. I have a few others but I made them a little bit too big so they will come later. I also changed the yellow pegboard to khaki because that to me resembles the color of real pegboard
I like the changes you’ve made to enjoy it more ![]()
Thanks for the update! Looking forward for the incoming ones.
Loving the changes you’ve made, and the idea of the toothpicks painted silver really make the tool box feel more authentic. I also love the aged look to the green carry box because who has heard of a garage where everything is spic and span?
This is going to look amazing!
I broke a piece on that wooden cabinet as well! Sorry to hear about your allergies, I hope that you are feeling better soon!
Love the customizations you’ve done so far! ![]()
I love the changes you’ve made. SO beautiful
Love it❤️ waiting for your end🤩
The handles look better then the silver paper you used. The jack is a great idea.
I did not care for the yellow either. Not for a garage! It is fun to do isnt it?!
I hope you get better soon. I love the changes that you’ve made. ![]()
Thanks Eloy. I hope to get a lot done today.
Thanks so much @Suzanne_Jones . I really like the toothpick look much better.
Uh nice, more coming soon then!
Thinking in your seat! That was a great fix and looks good as well!
Thanks so much at Atropex. Today is a little better, but it seems as if they get worse each year with pollen.
Thanks so much @ThaoNguyen
It looks fantastic! When I finally build the garage, do you mind if I borrow this idea?
Thanks! Not at all @Suzanne_Jones . I will have a few more ideas for you by the time I am finished. ![]()
I’ve bookmarked this thread to come back to when I get there.
You’re welcome.
Thanks so much @Jerry_Boswijk . No reason for that jack and tool kit to stay hidden in a trunk when they are the perfect size for this model.
