Rolife’s 9th anniversary is getting closer, and we’re starting the celebration with a little word challenge!
What is the hidden word?
Here are a few clues:
It can be folded, painted, stitched, shaped, decorated, or built. It turns simple materials into something personal. You can enjoy it almost anywhere, at almost any time. It includes many different kinds of hands-on hobbies.
One more hint: the hidden word is not “Robotime.”
Anytime is _ _ _ _ _ time.

@Robotime difficult.. hmm.. in my delirious state I am choosing the word: CRAFT
You can do it anywhere, anytime!
My own hands on hobby I guess outside of miniatures is, I collect vinyl records. Yep been doing it a while now since I was young and only got back into it about four years ago. I love the sound of vinyl, the feel of the album in my hands. The ability to have something tactile and engaging instead of being passive. You don’t just put on a record. It’s a commitment. You know you will have to pay attention. You chose the album to listen to for a reason. You can admire the artwork, the lyrics, the memories or feelings the music evokes.
It’s engaging and can leave you a different person than when you started. I listen to albums while crafting my miniatures or while I am at work. It’s a respite from a hurry up world. Here is a picture of my current setup. It obviously doesn’t show all my albums as I just don’t have the room lol. But it’s a selected few that make their rotation in
Right now, the one hands-on hobby I enjoy is building miniature houses and DIY crafts. I love turning small pieces into something detailed and unique—it’s relaxing, creative, and so rewarding to see the finished result!
i think the word is Craft and i have a lot of craft things on going ad the moment, so it is hard to pick one for adding a picture, so i will pick my Lego build i am working on, it’s not finished yet but i am getting there, only 3 more bags to go from 25 bags until until i finish it, it needs to become this in the second picture
My favorite hands-on hobby is building miniature kits because it gives me a chance to slow down and enjoy the moment. It’s my little escape after a busy day, and every completed kit feels like a meaningful accomplishment. I’m beyond happy and grateful to @Robotime that I have discovered this hobby, as it has become a part of who I am today.
For the past year and a half, I’ve been building kits, mainly from Rokr. It gives me some “me time” to fully relax amidst the busyness of the day. I really enjoy painting the models, as it makes each one unique. The pinball machine is the one that took me the longest to build.
As well as my rolife kits crafting also helps
Me relax …
I like to keep memories of occasions
Holidays christmas any special
Occasion … especially from my grandchildren there first hand made cards
There first easter … i put it all in my scrapebook to keep … making memories
Is a beautiful time every milestone my grandchildren have acheived …
But kidding aside, ever since I joined this community, I try my best to squeeze in some building time every chance I get. It has become my favorite pastime and helps me free myself from stress
At the moment I am focused on the Rowood flower kits, I love how pretty they look at the end. The process is mostly relaxing, except where I have broken delicate pieces . But thankfully I learned about B7000 glue, which has helped me to salvage the parts.
