First of all, we warmly welcome everyone who loves DIY and crafting to join us. The purpose of creating the Robotime Community is to build a place where everyone can find joy, warmth, and inspiration in DIY and crafting.
Over the past three months, our forum has grown into a friendly, creative, and supportive space. We deeply value this positive atmosphere and are firmly against any behavior that disrupts it, including attempts to gain points or rewards through improper means.
I would like to take a moment to address what happened yesterday. This explanation is meant to help the individual involved understand that we have always treated every fan fairly and equally. We kindly ask you to stop any impolite or disruptive behavior.
At the same time, we sincerely apologize to the members who were affected by this incident. Thank you all for your understanding, patience, and continued support in keeping our community a kind and inspiring place for everyone.
An user attempted to earn points quickly by using bots or other improper methods to invite 60 fake accounts. All of these false accounts shared one identical feature: their IP addresses were exactly the same as that of the original inviter.
These fake accounts were created using temporary, disposable email addresses. For example, the domains witusp.com, mailshan.com, moonfee.com, and obeamb.com were all used. These are not standard email providers; after verification, we confirmed that they are temporary disposable email domains often used for short-term or fraudulent registrations.
To prevent these fake accounts from affecting the forum, I have removed them promptly. Below is the operation record from the forum’s backend, which includes the related IP addresses and usernames of these accounts.
We have strong reasons to believe that this same user has once again created alternate accounts to post inappropriate comments in the forum. In these posts, they falsely accused other members of earning points through improper means and claimed that those members were inactive or fake users.
After careful verification, we confirmed that the accused members are genuine users with legitimate email accounts.
Here, I would like to make it clear: inactive users is not same as fake users. While we cannot guarantee that every person who registers for the Robotime Community will actively browse or participate in discussions, that does not make their accounts false.
Fake users, on the other hand, refer to accounts created using identical or falsified IP addresses and temporary or fake email domains.
The post made by this individual mentioned the following users are fake users (the image below is taken directly from that person’s post):
We have checked each account and confirmed that they are real person.
This is your final warning. We have sufficient evidence and records of your IP address. If you continue to disrupt the forum or attack other members, we reserve the right to take legal action. We are fully capable of identifying you through lawful means and holding you accountable for your actions. We have kept records of your posts, IP address, and email address.
